What curriculum do you use?

We teach with The Creative Curriculum from Teaching Strategies in our infant, toddler, and preschool rooms. It is a research-based, play-based approach built around in-depth studies driven by children's own questions, defined interest areas children choose their work from, and intentional teaching planned from what educators observe each child doing. Our summer program is camp-style, with themed weeks rather than the curriculum cycle.

Is Bloomfield Preschool NAEYC Accredited?

Yes. We were first accredited in 1988, among the earliest cohorts of programs to earn it after NAEYC Accreditation began. It is the early childhood field's most widely recognized mark of quality: our program is measured against NAEYC's Early Childhood Program Standards and verified through on-site assessment rather than self-report, covering teaching, curriculum, health and safety, staff qualifications, and family partnership.

Are meals included?

Yes, and at no extra cost. We have a full kitchen on site and a full-time chef, so meals and snacks are cooked here rather than delivered. They are provided free to enrolled children through CACFP, the federally funded Child and Adult Care Food Program. Families do not pack lunches and are not billed for food.

Yes. Following enrollment and schedule confirmation, families receive clear billing information outlining tuition, schedule, and any applicable fees.

Do you accept public funding, Early Start CT, or Care 4 Kids?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We accept Early Start CT and Care 4 Kids. Our slots are State Funded and no family is means-tested to take one, though the number of slots is limited. Our team fills out the paperwork alongside you.
