Since 1960, our early childhood professionals have designed engaging environments where curiosity thrives. Chef-Prepared Meals, Included
A full kitchen on site and a full-time chef, not a delivery contract. Meals and snacks are served at no extra cost to families through CACFP, the federal Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children
We were first accredited in 1988, among the earliest cohorts of programs to earn it. NAEYC Accreditation is the early childhood field's most widely recognized mark of quality, earned by meeting NAEYC's Early Childhood Program Standards and demonstrating them through on-site verification: an outside assessor in our classrooms, not a form we filled out about ourselves.
For your family, it means the things hardest to judge on a tour have already been examined against a national standard: ratios, teacher qualifications, health and safety practice, and how children are assessed.

Every room, from 6 weeks through Pre-K, follows the same research-based, play-based framework. Children investigate real questions in depth, choose their work from defined interest areas, and are taught deliberately rather than incidentally. It is why a BPCC day looks like play and adds up to school readiness.
How our curriculum works →A publicly funded center, so cost is not the barrier
We accept Connecticut's state childcare funding, which families usually meet under its program names: Early Start CT and Care 4 Kids. No family is means-tested to take a slot here, so what stands between you and a place is whether we have one, not whether you qualify. Our team fills out the paperwork with you. Many assume an accredited center is out of reach and never ask. Ask.
Being publicly funded is not a footnote for us. It is why the center exists: quality early education within reach of every family, whatever their means.
